[Give the emotionally unstable pyromancer a flammable alcoholic drink. Yes...]
She's...really complicated. She's one of the most powerful life mages I've ever met, she's talented and clever. Not good with people, mostly? She's not really had friends before. Not like a normal person.
Uh. Okay, so does the name Worldsoul mean anything to you?
Sheltered isn't the word I'd use. Nissa is a wild person, she's at home with the land, and she was an important shaman for her people that communed with the Worldsoul of Zendikar.
[Here we go.]
Worldsouls are the living embodiments of worlds. They're like the conscious will of the world, and they're usually asleep. Good thing, too, because they are beyond powerful.
Nissa can speak to them, even dreaming, and she's very close with the Worldsoul of Zenidikar.
[This suddenly got deep and Zack actually finds himself fairly interested. He's not usually into heavy lore or the like but since coming to this world and knowing that other worlds actually exist? It's pretty wild to hear more.]
I don't understand half of what you're saying but I'd like to.
[Even if he's not the most eloquent about how he expresses his interest.]
So... This worldsoul ability. It sounds a lot like someone being able to connect with the lifestream back in my world. The lifestream is like the planet's lifeforce. Or soul, I guess. Did she communicate with a lot of them when you were world-hopping?
She did sometimes. A lot of the worlds we visited had Worldsouls that wouldn't communicate with her though. My home plane, called Kaladesh, has a mechanical Worldsoul. And monsters had twisted up some of the others, so they weren't friendly.
And...usually we just ended up fighting stuff without them because they're weird even on planes where she does get along with em.

I know I am.
[Stepping clear, the portal vanishes with just a whiff of brimstone.]
So! inside?
no subject
Damn, you're pretty chipper today. After everything that happened with the mist I'm surprised you're not lighting the cause on fire.
no subject
[Chandra? Destructive? Never.]
Anyway! I'm also in a good mood because I get to see you.
no subject
Glad to see you're feeling better. I'm happy to see you too, Chandra. You know, now that my head's on right.
no subject
Yeah...mine is too. Mist-time was not my finest hour.
no subject
So, we're cool then? [He raises an eyebrow.]
no subject
[Reaching out, she goes for his hand, covering one of his with a gloved palm.]
I was the one out of line, after all.
no subject
Hey, I was too. But I'm glad we're okay. We're friends. [He shrugs with a short laugh.] You're a pretty decent kisser though.
no subject
[She looks a little sheepish...]
...In my right mind, I really only wanna kiss one person.
no subject
[Zack waves a hand. He was totally just taking a jab, before.]
Do you have your eye on someone special, Chandra? Spill.
no subject
[Shrug.]
We travel together, from world to world. She's...her name is Nissa, and she's an elf.
no subject
Yeah? And what's she like?
no subject

Alright, so she's a mage just like you. But sheltered, but that's always cute. And ... nope. What's a worldsoul?
[Sounds sort of like a deity of some sort but he's not going to assume.]
no subject

[Sounds like one hell of a date.]
no subject
And...usually we just ended up fighting stuff without them because they're weird even on planes where she does get along with em.

[If she says in the middle of fighting things, it'll be so on point.]
no subject
[That sounds like the best fit.]
no subject
[wtf is that all about]

no subject
What we did while we linked minds? Oh...holy shit yes.
no subject
[The drinks come soon after that and he takes a drink of his own beer. He's tucking in for this storytime.]
no subject
For a few minutes, we were the same person, almost.
